Introduction / RIB Workspace
People
Invite members and understand workspace roles.
People
The People area helps you manage who can access your workspace and collaborate on projects.
Why member management matters
RIB Creative projects can include product ideas, generated code, business copy, customer flows, and publishing settings. Treat workspace access like access to a real product environment.
Invite people intentionally and review access regularly.
Common member types
Workspace roles may vary by plan, but most teams think about access in these categories:
| Role type | Typical responsibility |
|---|---|
| Owner | Owns billing, workspace settings, and final access decisions. |
| Admin | Manages members, settings, and workspace governance. |
| Editor | Builds, edits, and reviews projects. |
| Viewer or reviewer | Reviews previews and documentation without making broad changes. |
Use the actual role names shown in the product as the source of truth.
When to invite someone
Invite a teammate when they need to:
- Build or edit a project.
- Review a product flow.
- Manage workspace settings.
- Help with launch, support, or QA.
- Collaborate on client delivery.
Do not invite people just to share a preview if a public or review link is safer for that situation.
Access checklist
Before inviting someone:
- Confirm the workspace is the right one.
- Choose the lowest role that lets them do the job.
- Explain what project they should work on.
- Ask them not to paste secrets into prompts.
- Remove access when the work is done.
FAQ
Can I share my login instead?
No. Invite people through the workspace. Shared logins make auditing, billing, and security harder.
How often should I review access?
Review access whenever a project launches, a client engagement ends, or a teammate changes responsibilities.
Can roles affect publishing?
They may. If your workspace has role-based controls, publishing should be limited to people who are responsible for release quality.
